Privacy Policy

Doting ("we," "us") is operated by Quizbiz LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it. We've tried to write it the way we'd want a policy written for us — plainly, without hiding anything in legal fog.

What we collect

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and any basic profile details you choose to add (like a display name or emoji avatar). We use this to save your cards, credits, and preferences across sessions.

What you tell Doting. To generate a prompt, gesture idea, or greeting card, you give us context — who the message is for, your relationship to them, an occasion, and any notes you add. This is content you choose to share, and it is used only to generate the specific suggestion or card you asked for.

Usage data. We collect basic technical and usage information: pages viewed, buttons clicked, approximate location (country-level, from your IP address), device and browser type, and timestamps. This helps us understand what's working and fix what isn't. We do not sell this data.

Payment information. Doting does not store your card number. Purchases are processed by our billing partner (see "Who processes your data" below); we receive confirmation that a purchase completed and the credits it purchased, not your full payment details.

How AI processing works

When you ask Doting for a suggestion — a prompt, a gesture idea, or greeting card copy — the details you provide are sent to a third-party AI model provider to generate a response. We don't use your inputs to train our own general-purpose models, and we don't sell this content to anyone. We recommend not including sensitive information (medical, financial, or identifying details about someone else) in your prompts.

How long we keep your data

We keep account data and saved cards for as long as your account is active. If you stop using Doting, we retain data for a reasonable period in case you return, then delete or anonymize it. Usage and analytics data is retained in aggregate for up to 24 months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time — see below.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@doting.co. We aim to respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your saved cards, prompt history, and profile; a small number of records (like billing history) may be retained where we're legally required to keep them.

Who processes your data

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Doting:

• Cloudflare — hosting, our application database, and content delivery.
• AI model providers (for example, OpenAI) — generating the prompt, gesture, and card suggestions from the inputs you provide.
• Quizbiz LLC's shared billing platform (riskfreetrial.org) — payment processing and credit balances. See our Billing & Refunds page for how this works.
• Google — analytics (Google Analytics) and, on our knowledge base pages only, advertising (Google AdSense), described below.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.

Advertising

Some pages on doting.co — specifically our knowledge base articles — may show ads served by Google and its advertising partners. These third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the Google DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to doting.co or other websites, and ads shown may be personalized based on that browsing activity. Ads never appear on interactive app screens — the card builder, AI prompts, checkout, or your account — only on editorial content pages.

• You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page.

If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland: we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies for advertising or analytics, through a consent banner. Advertising and analytics storage default to off in these regions until you choose to allow them, and you can change your choice at any time by revisiting that banner.

Children

Doting is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email.
